This morning at 9:30, our school community gathered for the annual Turkey Trot, a spirited event that brought together students, staff, and families for a morning of friendly competition and celebration.

Students participated in races divided by grade level and gender. Each group lined up on the white starting line, where Mr. Robles, our school’s Instructional Coach, explained the rules and Mrs. Cheeseman, our school's Assistant Principal, signaled the start with a classic “Ready, Set, Go!” Excitement filled the air as music blared and students sprinted toward the finish line, cheered on by their classmates on the sidelines.

Adding to the fun, our beloved school mascot Grover the Grizzly Bear joined the festivities. Grover danced with students, handed out high fives, and brought extra energy and smiles to the event.

Judges captured videos at the finish and carefully verified the winning runners' names as they crossed. The top three runners in each group were recorded, with winners officially announced at 3:00 pm. First place finishers took home a turkey, second place winners received a pumpkin pie, and third place finishers earned a 2 liter soda.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous donors for providing prizes, and to all the parents who came out to support and cheer. The Turkey Trot was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season, build school spirit, and celebrate our students’ enthusiasm and sportsmanship!
