Say hello to Westmore's newest school nurse! We are so excited to have her with us this next year!
"My name is Amy Hein—though with the students, I go by “Nurse Amy”—and I’m so excited to be the school nurse at Westmore Elementary! I also have the privilege of caring for three other schools in the district. I earned my Registered Nurse license and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Utah Valley University, and before becoming a school nurse, I spent eight years working on the medical-surgical floors at Utah Valley Hospital. This is my third year as a school nurse, and I’m so grateful to be in a setting where I can truly get to know the students and help keep them healthy and safe every day. I believe in open, caring communication and love partnering with families, teachers, and staff to make sure each child feels supported in their unique health needs. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my husband and our two boys, hiking in the mountains, curling up with a good book, and enjoying a delicious bowl of ice cream."
